Klaudia Krajewska
A founder of Salsa Stars, a dancer and qualified dance teacher.

Deeply involved in dancing since the age of 6, when she joined the best Polish amateur Folk Dance Group “Harnam”. High level of professionalism of a dance-group, the contact with the best Polish choreographers and teachers, performances in Poland and abroad, influenced the future choices.

In the 90-ties she mastered her classical dance skills in the Ballet School in Lodz, Poland.

In 2001 she has obtained a Diploma and became a qualified dance teacher.

In 2001-2002 while being in the USA she became attached to salsa – Los Angeles style, and West Coast swing (California State Dance).

During years 2004-06 she focused on Cuban dances – especially salsa, rumba. She participated in workshops in Switzerland (Bern, Zurich), and regular dance classes in Australia (Sydney).

The stay in Cuba in 2006 was an important step in the professional career. She mastered her dance skills in the best Cuban dance school in Havana, and also learned the Cuban folklore from the best Cuban teachers (Conjunto Folklorico- a professional Cuban folkloric dance group).

In May 2003 together with Lodzki Dom Kultury she was the first to organize Salsa workshops in Lodz.

During the short periods of her stay in Poland in the years 2004-05 she was invited to teach during dance workshops in Lodzki Dom Kultury (Lodz Cultural Center), and during classes for groups of dance teachers.

In 2006/07 she gave regular classes in the Dance School “Cubana” in Lodz.

A decision on further development of salsa movement in Lodz resulted in founding “Salsa Stars”, which brings together passion, professionalism, love for music and dance.
